The UIC Campus Safety Training redefines campus safety education through storytelling, accessibility, and a human-centered design approach. Created by the Office of Preparedness and Response, this online, self-paced training centralizes key safety resources and tools while building emotional connection through immersive worlds and fictional, relatable narratives.
Unlike generic safety content, this training is deeply rooted in UIC’s physical and community landscape. Real students, officers, and staff appear in original 4K videos filmed on campus, blending documentary authenticity with cinematic realism. Every scene, setting, and character is unmistakably UIC -its people, its spaces, its spirit.
