Todos conocemos o tenemos a una madre que, con sus tradicionales frases de mamá y una ceja levantada nos dice exactamente lo que espera que hagamos y las conductas que son aceptables o no, ante sus ojos. Por si fuera poca esa habilidad, su instinto maternal las lleva a ser las mejores previsoras y muchas veces excelentes elementos en el manejo de emergencias.
Así que directo del repertorio de consejos de mamá (respaldados por información fidedigna de FEMA, de la CDC y de las diversas oficinas de Preparedness and Response en el país) presentamos pequeñas cápsulas informativas con recomendaciones y medidas de prevención sobre temas de salud, seguridad y emergencias… algo así como PSAs (Public Service Announcement) pero acompañados de los recordatorios infalibles que nos dá mamá…y a la madre, se le respeta.

We all know or have a mother who, with their typical mom expressions and a raised eyebrow, can tell us exactly what they expect in terms of our behavior. As if that ability wasn’t enough, their maternal instincts make them great provisors, and many times they are excellent elements for emergency management.
So, straight from the “mom’s advice” repertory (backed up by reliable information from FEMA, the CDC, and the different offices of Preparedness and Response around the country), we offer these small informative capsules with recommendations and prevention practices on health, safety and emergency preparedness… much like PSAs (Public Service Announcements), but supported by the never-failing mom’s reminders… and you must respect the mom.
