Introduction

On this page, you will find documents that support your unit/department to engage the BC&R (Riskonnect) system in an easy to understand and streamlined series of steps. These Guides can be used for every portion of the BIA process, and should be continuously referenced for both internal training and planning efforts.

Critical Functions User Guide

This Guide supports the unit/department to develop their identified Critical Functions, establishing links with related Programs/Services, estimating Impacts, establishing Recovery Times, and creating a calendar with key Peaks and Deadlines.
Application Dependency User Guide

This section will guide the unit/department to identify the software, computer systems, cloud computing applications, or digital tools that are relied upon for daily operations; including their Recovery Times and Data Loss Tolerance.
Facility Dependency User Guide

The Guide will allow the unit/department can outline their workspaces, what each facility is primarily used for, and potential alternate sites that have been designated.
Vendor Dependency User Guide

This section will explore how the unit/department utilizes its Vendors, current Service Level Agreements, Vendor contact information, as well as alternate Vendor options.
Department Dependency User Guide

This Guide will support the unit/department to define which Departments are relied on, activities associated with internal Departments, and any Manual Workarounds in the event the Department is unavailable.
Other Dependency User Guide

The Guide will allow the unit/department to identify “Other” Dependencies which identify the people, equipment, records, and other interdependencies that are not previously captured that are relied on for daily operations.
Resources User Guide

This section supports the unit/department to assess what quantity of Resources would be necessary for up to 4 weeks of recovery operations following a disruption as they relate to the identified Critical Functions.
Risks User Guide

This Guide explores how the unit/department is used to identify and assess potential threats and vulnerabilities that could disrupt Critical Functions and essential operations.
Attachments User Guide

The Guide allows the unit/department to input essential information/documentation that will support the information provide in the Business Impact Analysis.
