UIC Trainings and Exercises are designed to simulate realistic conditions-time frames of actual incidents to offer participants a point of reference in actual incident response-coordination. It provides knowledge transfer of subject matter experts to allow participants the ability to make informed and decisive decisions during incidents.
The Office of Preparedness and Response at UIC includes the only Master Exercise Practitioner (MEP) within the University of Illinois system who is responsible for designing and conducting emergency management exercises consistent with the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) doctrine.
