Continuity of Operations

Courses in the Continuity of Operations curriculum tie in with the National Preparedness Framework and will help UIC faculty, staff, and medical personnel plan for and maintain operations in order to continue providing our constituents with critical academic, business, public health, and medical care functions and resources following a disaster. The courses offered will provide a brief overview of continuity planning and the Continuity Management Cycle. Although these courses directly address continuity requirements for Federal Executive branch organizations, the course is also useful to State, local, territorial, and tribal governments. Each course will assist UIC faculty, staff, and medical personnel to better understand the essential elements of a viable continuity program.
